Detrichovice, Bruntal, Czech republic - link ! 1920 In the 19th century Detrichovice (Dittersdorf am Kirchberg) was a part of Jagerndorf (Krnov). I was interested to study the Ludwig family who lived in these two regions of the nowaday Czech republic, close to the border with Poland, in the former Austrian Silezia (catholic). There were a lot of Ludwig families living in Freudenthal (Bruntal) county. There were only a few Ludwig families living in Jaegerndorf (Krnow) county. I looked for the Ludwig names from the beginning of the church records until mid of the 19th century. My Ludwigs left the region before 1848. They moved to New Arad, Banat, Romania and later to Kronstadt (Brasso, Brasov), Romania. The first Romanian Ludwig born ancestor was Leopold Ludwig, New Arad, 1824.
